Well,im not by any means the best mechanic but I can do most of it and I listen to others that know I dont think you would consider this an easy fix or quick anyway.

Its engine rebuild time Im doing mine in spring. I guess you could just take it down and re ring it but you might as well rebuild it while its out. Im burning about 3 qts a month!!!

Im going to do mine in spring. Mine will run me a few more bucks though cause while its down im having the head reworked and fine tuned for a few more horses and im puting in HC flat top pistons and a better cam.

I figured id might as well get all I can out of it cause im going to 31’s later. But im also going to regear my dif’s and T-case. By the end of next year im guessing Ill have another 3k put in it,lol. In any case, to reduce the down time, make sure u have ALL the parts u need to complete the job, on hand before u even drive into the ‘major surgery’ room.

It is very frustrating to get near completion and be held up by a rrx but essential part not being in hand. Just do a compression test and leak down test first then take it from there.
